This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Government of Bermuda (the “Government”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Coney Island Bridge Replacement as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).

The Government of Bermuda is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced engineering firm to act as The Engineer to deliver the Swing Bridge Replacement Project in St. George’s Parish, Bermuda. The new bridge will be a seven-span viaduct, comprised of steel box girders, supported by reinforced concrete abutments and piers, formed on reinforced concrete pile caps seated on tubular piles. The viaduct includes a 30.1m lift span actuated with large hydraulic cylinders.

The proposed works involve the construction of a reinforced retaining wall within the grounds of the Agricultural Services Center. The wall is required to stabilize an existing embankment, improve site safety, and protect adjacent infrastructure from erosion and soil movement. The project supports the long-term operational needs of the facility by ensuring secure access, controlled drainage, and improved land usability.
